Hello

I am the Head of DeWinter Group's retained search practice, DeWinter Partners, which provides executive searches and foundational hires for the venture and private equity ecosystem. DeWinter Partners specializes in the G&A hiring space, and Joseph's primary focus is the CIO and CISO organization.

Previously, I was a Managing Director at CVPartners, which went through a successful acquisition by Addison Group. After which, the technology group became Arete Partners, where I was one of the first executives.

I also serve as an outside advisor to private technology companies and several private equity firms.

I attended the University of California, Santa Barbara on academic and athletic scholarships, and received my B.S. I followed this up with a Technology Management Program degree from their master’s Department. I continued my education in Europe, competing for my University's Track and Field team. It was here I received my first systems administrator/data analyst position and spawned my interest in startups.

 

I live in Los Altos with my wife and my two amazing daughters.
